Building a Driveway
 Driveways can be constructed in a
variety of different ways, we build our driveways to best suite the situation of each lot.
We always like to be involved with the location of a driveway because it is very important
that there is enough room for the other infrastructure on the property like the septic
system, electricity etc.
Driveways are normally constructed in this manner, first the stumps are removed &
disposed of, they can be placed in a push-off, or hauled away from the property.
Once this is done the roadway is shaped up & ditches are placed on the sides, culverts
are placed as necessary for proper drainage. The roadway is then graveled & compacted
using a coarse material for the first layer & if the customer wishes a fine layer of
gravel can be placed once the construction work on the house is finished so no damage will
occur to the fine gravel. In certain situations sediment control will have to be placed in
the ditches to prevent siltation from entering any water coarses.
